The Dragoon dates back in the local History Book to the earliest recorded Landlord in 1839. Since then however, it has undergone many changes including being reported to have burnt down in 1925.
Known in the trade as "a two bar operation", The Dragoon offers a Public Bar with Games & Music, and a Lounge Bar with a cosy fire, comfortable seating and soft background music.
It’s a traditional English Pub serving the community of Brampton and surrounding areas. It is a common meeting place and offers a friendly environment where families celebrate everything from Birthdays to Weddings & Christenings.
The Dragoon can cater for any type of gathering and provide Buffets, Sit-down meals, or combinations of the two. |

The Pub is run by John Franklin as a tenant to Charles Wells Brewery of Bedford.
John is passionate about Real Ale, good Pub food and a friendly professional service in a warm and hospitable atmosphere.
To ensure that the lively traditions of the pub live on, John and his staff plan numerous events throughout the year, such as Karaoke, Treasure Hunts, Disco's, Fancy Dress and Theme Nights, in addition to celebrating events such as St Georges day, St Patricks day, Halloween, Australia day, and much more. There is always something to look forward to at The Dragoon. |

Real Ales
Charles Wells Eagle Bitter and Bombardier Bitter are always available. In addition, there are always two additional Guest ales, usually from Charles Wells, but also from brewers such as Mauldens, Greene King, Adnams, St Austell Brewery Company, Ruddles, Mansfield, JW Lees, Wadworth and Fullers to name but a few. The selection is always changing to ensure good representation.
The Dragoon has "Cask Marque" accreditation for the Real Ales to ensure quality and consistency and is visited by CAMRA members from time to time, and has featured in their local newsletter. |

Food
The Dragoon has an extensive Pub Grub and Bar Snack menu and is particularly popular for traditional food such as Sunday Roasts. It also caters for vegetarians and special dietary requirements.
The Lounge bar serves food, though informally, but in comfortable surroundings. Bar snacks are served in the Public Bar. |

The Dragoon boasts two pool teams and a Quiz Night every Wednesday, in addition to offering Darts, Cards, Dominos and Board Games. |
